Sergio Alasia
Founding partner of Qabiria, Sergio Alasia manages the areas of Production, Training and IT.

He studied Spanish Philology at the University of Turin, graduating with honours, after spending one year in the Canary Islands, teaching Italian as a second language. He moved to Barcelona and embarked on a career as a translator, while also editing the book containing his Italian translation of  the novel Nos dejaron el muerto (La stuoia di palma) by Víctor Ramírez, an author from the Canary Islands, which has recently inspired the film La caja directed by Juan Carlos Falcón. He joined a multinational company specialized in technical documentation as a project manager, where he coordinated the translation of more than one and a half million of words per year. He actively participated in the implementation of a new corporate management system, which gave him the opportunity to extend his knowledge of open source software and IT in general. He translates from Spanish and English into Italian and has good working knowledge of Catalan, French, Portuguese and German.
