| A few months ago I decided to participate as a volunteer translator to the Open Translation Project, an interesting initiative by TED.com, whose goal is to subtitle all TEDTalks, the video recordings of the TED conferences. The reasons why I took this decision are explained in more detail in one of our articles. Here you will find some of the talks I have translated or reviewed.

Dear Marco,
I started translating my first TED talk a week ago and it's nice to know that other people as just as excited about this as I am. I also read your article in Italian presenting the reasons why professional translators should consider volunteering to translate for TED. I found it very interesting and motivating. Actually, I am interested in adapting it into English in order to publish it to my newly founded blog. It goes without saying that reference will be made to you and the original article. Please let me know what you think about it. Kind regards, Christa

Merco, as of late there has been scarce time available, so I didn't make it to translate your article into English. In my latest blog post, I did, however, mention your article and translate the reasons you list in Greek. You might want to check it out, even though it's in Greek: http://babelfishtranslation.blogspot.com/
