| To hear the latest on entrepreneurial trends, we participated again this year in the Dia del Emprendedor ("Entrepreneur's Day") , that took place in Barcelona on May 20th and 21th. (www.barcelonanetactiva.com/dia/).
Thanks to the rich conference program and the dialouge with dozens of local and international entrepreneurs and investors, we gained useful insight on how to leverage Qabiria's activity and prepare its future. This year, the Dia del Emprenedor also hosted the SIME event (www.sime.nu), the most important North European conference on the Internet and new digtal opportunities. Learning from the experience and the business vision of people like Marko Ahtisaari, former Director of Design Strategy at Nokia and founder of Dopplr.com, or Martín Varsavsky, founder of FON, Jazztel, Ya.com and Einsteinnet - was motivating and instructive. In a nutshell, these are our key learnings from the event. In the current crisis, surrendering to pessimism is counterproductive. Remaining optimistic and seeing problems as opportunities is a much better option! If a company wants to differentiate itself from the competition, it must be familiar with the new technologies and know how to use them, whatever sector it operates in. Cloud computing, new online advertising strategies and social media such as Facebook offer new opportunities for developing, promoting and selling a company's image. |
